Calling herself a nomad musician and travelling troubadour, Laura Silverstone’s foot-stomping brand of folk-rock has won her fans throughout Europe. Having spent the last eight years living in a caravan and travelling to wherever she wants to play - Laura has emerged as one of the most seasoned buskers you’re likely to encounter anywhere

Laura Silverstone hails from the Basque Country in northern Spain. Growing up, she was surrounded by music, which led her to develop an abiding love for the acoustic guitar. At 18, Laura’s restless sense of wanderlust saw her taking off from her home country and moving to the UK, where she travelled and explored the length of Britain. As she travelled, she was constantly busking and honing her guitar skills.

She eventually found herself travelling through Scotland, continuing to refine a unique sound as she drove off to new places daily - busking mainly in cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Eight years after starting her journey, Laura has travelled to 14 countries in her campervan Izaro. She busks wherever she goes, allowing her sound to be influenced and sharpened by the places she visits, the people she meets, and the audiences who stop to appreciate her music.

As a singer, songwriter, lap-tap guitarist, and born performer, Laura is one of those singular artists who can stop people on High Streets and make them form attentive semi-circles to watch her perform. She offers a dazzling one-woman show, which is praiseworthy not just for Laura’s technical abilities, but also for how she injects her songs with the heart and soul needed to make random people stop and listen.

Beyond this, Laura’s Iberian-tinged English voice is truly a delight to listen to.

Laura performs throughout Europe, meaning you might catch in the middle of any given city centre without realising it. For years, Scotland has been something of a second home for Laura, and she has performed on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile countless times. She has also performed everywhere from Oslo, to Gothenburg, to Copenhagen, to Malta. Her YouTube channel documents some of her best performances.

Laura is currently one of the stars of Got Talent España - the Spanish version of the internationally recognised talent show. In this capacity, her numerous talents have reached a wider audience, and she has been particularly praised for her fast-paced lap-tapping style. As it currently stands, Laura Silverstone’s performances have received millions of views. She has also continuously wowed the judges.

As well as busking live and performing on Got Talent España, Laura has released several albums and singles, all of which are brilliant in their own right. Her song ‘Fireworks’ was released in mid-October, while the artist has released two albums throughout her career: 2017’s The Fall of the Northern Star and 2019’s Water + Fire.
