What you need to know about Brinda Irani
Brinda Irani is a 17-year-old singer, songwriter, busker, and music producer who comes from County Laois in Ireland.
With both Irish and Indian roots, Brinda began dancing and singing at a young age, discovering that she had a talent for both methods of performance.
As she grew older, Brinda received particular praise for her music, which eventually led her to start busking on Grafton Street, in Dublin, at the age of 14. She is self-taught in various instruments, including guitar and piano. In recent years, she has also mastered several live performing/production methods, such as live looping instruments and vocals, as well as finger drumming.
Having developed a reputation for her frequent busking excursions to Dublin, Brinda’s place as one of Ireland’s brightest emerging stars was solidified when she won the ‘Local Hero’ competition, hosted by the Irish radio station Midlands 103 as part of Irish Music Month.
She has also performed on many stages in the past two years, both as part of festivals and other events geared towards rising artists. These have included Electric Picnic in 2022, SoundHouse Dublin, Garageland Ireland Festival, Forest Fest, and Portrane Summer Festival.
Brinda has maintained a sizeable social media following, but her recent track record shows that she is more interested in performing, busking, recording, and learning the ins and outs of music on her own accord. She has released three singles on Spotify, called ‘A Shadow’, ‘Crater’, and ‘Clueless’.

She is as brilliant when it comes to live performances recorded at home as she is when it comes to live performances on the streets of Dublin.
